Fiery Feeds is a feed reader built for power users.
- Sync -
Fiery Feeds syncs with Feedly, Feedbin, Minimal Reader, Feed Wrangler, Fever, Feedja, NewsBlur, AOL Reader, Tiny Tiny RSS, Inoreader, Bazqux, and The Old Reader.
Additionally it syncs with the read-it-later services Pocket, Instapaper and Wallabag.
- Sharing -
Included sharing services are Pinboard, Instapaper, Pocket, Delicious, Evernote, SendToReader, Buffer, OneNote, Copy URL, Messages, Safari Reading List, Copy Image, 1Password, Star Article, Twitter, Facebook.
Fiery also supports sharing to other apps and websites using URL schemes that you can create yourself or install from the action directory and customisable email templates.
- Safari Extension -
You can subscribe to new feeds straight from Safari with the included extension.
- Article View Modes -
Fiery Feeds supports three different article view modes: Article, Web, Text. The selected article view mode is saved per feed.
* Article displays the articles as it is contained in the RSS feed.
* Web displays the linked website inline.
* Text parses the website using Fiery Feeds’ server to display just the content.
- Feed Managment
- Today Widget -
Fiery Feeds includes a Today Widget that displays the newest articles across all services, including preview images.
- Keyboard Shortcuts -
Fiery Feeds fully supports external keyboards and keyboard shortcuts. You can navigate the entire app using only the keyboard if you want to.
- VoiceOver -
Every feature is accessible via VoiceOver.
- Multiple Accounts -
You can add as many accounts to Fiery as you like.
- Customisable -
Almost every aspect of Fiery Feeds is customisable. Color Themes, Fonts, Text sizes. If you want a leisurely reading environment, just the headlines, or anything in between, Fiery Feeds has you covered.
- Horizontal article swiping -
You can swipe to the next or previous article by swiping horizontally, instead of vertically. This avoids having to scroll down the entire (long) article just to get to the next one.
- Fullscreen Reading -
Enjoy long form text in a distraction-less reading experience.
- Marking All Read -
Fiery Feeds can mark all articles read by the time the article was published. It’s possible to mark all articles as read, or all articles that are older then a day, week or month.
Additionally it’s possible to mark all articles above or below a specific article as read by swiping right on an article to show more options.
It is also possible to mark articles as read automatically when scrolling by then in the article list.
- Background Sync -
Fiery can download updates to your feeds in the background so you have them when you need them.
Pros and cons of Fiery Feeds Premium app for iPhone and iPad
Fiery Feeds Premium app good for
My new favorite rss client for the iPhone. Fast, gesture based and easy to read.
Clear winner over Reeder and Unread.
(Would love to see a pull-up-to-mark-all-as-read gesture like Mr. Reader)
This is a very good app, with an clean, iOS7-Like, interface.
The only thing im missing is the option to choose pocket as mobilizer.
Pocket can show articles, which are over 2 pages on the original homepage. Many sites i read show articles over more pages, this means the other mobilizers show only the half article...
5 stars for this feature!
Very good alternative to some of the other products available on the market. Very refreshing to see and fully features. Only supports Feedbin/Fever for now but Im sure other services will follow shortly.
This is an extremely versatile and customizable app. The developer is responsive and frequently updates with new features. Works perfectly with Feedbin. I love swiping through articles horizontally! Highly recommended.
Update so good Im gonna use this instead of Reeder and see how it goes.
Some bad moments
Nice App, but GUI is too slow and headlines/articles are difficult to read.
I prefer Sunstroke or Reeder.
I was looking for an RSS reader that had been updated for the iPhone 6 and decided to give this a try.
Design wise I think it looks really good and fits in with iOS well. The widget is a nice touch.
Unfortunately the app itself is quite buggy. I have entered a fold with unread articles and then had them just disappear. Web pages load quite slowly for some reason. I have also encountered quite a few other bugs and glitches. With some polish I think it could be a great app, but it does not work well as is.
Normally a decent app, but with too many selection screens and not enough continuity between items. I normally dont leave reviews but this version is crashing every time I do anything in this app. Please fix asap!
I have never seen an app so slow in my time using an iPhone. Update please.
Also make more themes
I don’t get it why it’s so hard to make article scroll right to left. Fiery Feeds does exactly this.
Only thing missing show unread article count in article view and add full screen support (always) while in article mode, not only on scroll.
Because of Reeders lack of updates, I started looking for a replacement that also worked with Fever. I didnt need to look too far. Fiery is an excellent app. The app is updated with bug fixes and new features regularly and support was quick an on point. If you are looking for a Reeder replacement, or just a great RSS client, look no further. Fiery is the app for you.
